Flower Clips

This was a cheap and easy project. I got most of the materials from the dollar store. The only thing I had to go elsewhere for was the actual clip. I went to Walmart for them and there were maybe 20 in the package and cost around $5. These would be cute clipped on to just about anything! Hair bands, bedroom decor... anything! =)

Here's the "How-to":

Supplies:
  • silk gerber daisy flower
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • ribbon
  • hair clips (aligator style)
  • diamond sticker embellishments
Method:

Flower:
  • cut your flowers off their stems
  • pull each flower apart leaving only the petals and the green back
  • trim the green plastic back so that it's flat
  • now starting with the green plastic backing, place a dab of hot glue in the center.
  • place one petal layer on top
  • place another dab of glue in the center of the just layed petal layer
  • continue until all layers are laid
  • finish with the diamond sticker in the center of the flower. Use a dab of glue to ensure the sticker will stay in place

Clip:

  • starting at the back of the clip just beneath the spring, add a dab of hot glue then add the end of your ribbon
  • now wrap your ribbon along the entire surface area of your clip adding hot glue as you go along.
  • finish off just above the spring at the back.
**now join the flower and clip together using hot glue.

DONE!
